Ontario Calling Healthcare Professionals @ Low CRS

There is excellent news for healthcare professionals to get Ontario Express Entry invitations. On September 26, 2023, the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) invited 1696 applicants from the latest Express Entry draw under the Human Capital Priorities (HCP) stream. Those applicants scoring between 350-462 in the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) are invited to accept provincial nominations from Ontario. However, the profile must be created between September 26, 2022, and September 26, 2023.

The profiles with primary experience invited with NOCs/healthcare occupations in the OINP draw are the following:

• NOC 31102 – General practitioners and family physicians
• NOC 31300 – Nursing coordinators and supervisors
• NOC 31301 – Registered nurses and registered psychiatric nurses
• NOC 32101 – Licensed practical nurses
• NOC 33102 – Nurse aides, orderlies, and patient service associates

OINP regularly evaluates the Express Entry pool and invites profiles with in-demand occupations to accept the provincial nomination. Thus, the selected profiles that accept provincial nominations earn an extra 600 points in the existing CRS scores.

The Express Entry pool is evaluated regularly by OINP, and profiles with in-demand occupations are invited to accept the provincial nomination. That means these profiles will have 45 days to accept the invitation and get these extra CRS scores.

As a result, the chosen profiles will jump the scores to 969 – 1038, thereby guaranteeing their selection in the next Express Entry draw.
Since there is no separate registration to receive an invitation through PNP, the applicants must choose Ontario as their preferred province while creating the Express Entry profiles. Then, OINP will select from the active profiles in the Express Entry pool to get a provincial nomination.

HCP Eligibility Criteria for OINP

Let us find out the general eligibility for the Ontario Human Capital Priorities Stream. The eligible candidate must have

• A valid Express Entry profile created in Canadian Experience Class (CEC) or the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP).
• Education level equivalent to a Canadian Bachelor’s or higher (Candidates outside Canada must have an equal Education Credential Assessment (ECA).
• English or French proficiency test results with CLB level 7 or higher.
• Financial stability to fund for yourself and your dependents (if applicable). Submit proofs: bank statement, ongoing job or a job offer in Ontario.
• Preferring to live in Ontario, provide documents that include
• Job in Ontario
• Valid Job offer. Even application or interview selection for jobs in Ontario
• Study permit in any institution in Ontario
• Lease or property documents in Ontario
• Visiting Ontario
• Documents related to professional networks and affiliations, family ties and personal relationships in Ontario
