COVID-19: Home Delivery of Essentials During lockdown in Kerala

As part of the country-wide lockdown to prevent the spread of deadly Coronavirus, the Indian government has introduced specific stringent regulations that have restricted people from stepping out of their homes. In this situation, much to the relief of households in Kerala, several online shopping sites continue to offer their services. They supply essential items like groceries, vegetables and toiletries in several parts of the state.

To make things easier, Kerala Police has also launched a mobile app named ‘ShopsApp’ that acts as a platform to connect consumers and sellers. Shops can register on the app with details of the items they would be home-delivering. Consumers can also register on the app and find the shops that provide home delivery services in their region.

Eranakulam

Supplyco:

Supplyco offers home delivery services in cooperation with Zomato. Though the service is currently available in Gandhinagar and nearby regions only, it will soon be extended to other parts of Kochi and the districts of Thiruvananthapuram and Kozhikode too. Consumers can avail of the services by logging on to Zomato.

AM Needs:

For home delivery of milk, dairy products, bread, bakery items, fruits and vegetables, consumers can place the orders through AM Needs mobile application. They offer their services in and around Kochi.

DailyFarmFresh:

Consumers can order vegetables, fruits, meat and essential grocery items via the website of DailyFarmFresh. The service is available in Kochi, Perumbavoor, Muvattupuzha, Kothamangalam and Piravom. The minimum order is for Rs 500.

Farmers Fresh Zone:

Vegetables and fruits will be home delivered around a 10 km radius in Kakkanad and Kadavanthra regions. Log onto their website to avail of the service.

Marari Fresh:

Order organic vegetables and eggs through the mobile app of Marari Fresh. The service is available in Tripunithura, Kakkaanad, Vytilla, Palarivattom, Aluva, Kalamassery, Thevara, Fort Kochi, Thoppumpady, Palluruthy and Maradu.

Thiruvananthapuram

Spenlo:

You can order groceries and vegetables to be home delivered on Spenlowebsite. Delivery is free for orders above Rs 599.

AM Needs:

AM Needs is offering home delivery services in Thiruvananthapuram too. Milk, bread, fruits and vegetables can be ordered on their mobile app.

Kottayam

TheKottayamStore:

Groceries, vegetables, meat and other essential items will be home-delivered within a radius of 20 km around Kottayam town. Orders can be placed on their website.

Malappuram

DailySouq:

Groceries, vegetables and meat would be home-delivered within the 20-kilometre radius of Tirur town. Orders can be placed on their website, and delivery is free for orders above Rs 500.
