Alberta Issues Over 1,100 Invitations in Four Draws

A total of 1,169 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) have been recently issued by the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP). The selections were done through four separate rounds of draws conducted between January 26th and February 2nd, 2026. The ITAs were issued across different streams. They included Dedicated Health Care Pathways (Express Entry and non-Express Entry), the Alberta Express Entry Stream’s Accelerated Tech Pathway, and the Alberta Opportunity Stream. Under the Alberta Opportunity Stream, the highest number of ITAs were issued: 915 invitations. Through the Alberta Express Entry Stream – Accelerated Tech Pathway, 148 ITAs were issued; through the Dedicated Health Care Pathway – Non-Express Entry, 143 ITAs were issued; and through the Dedicated Health Care Pathway – Express Entry, 63 ITAs were issued.

The minimum cut-off scores differed by the streams, and the Dedicated Health Care Pathway—Non-Express Entry had the lowest cut-off score of 45 points, whereas the Alberta Express Entry Stream—Accelerated Tech Pathway had the highest cut-off score of 63 points.

Alberta will continue to prioritize workers in sectors such as health care, technology, construction, manufacturing, aviation, and agriculture, and occupations tied to communities designated under the Rural Renewal Stream. Invitations may be issued outside of its identified priority sectors, and factors such as work experience in priority occupations, employment in Alberta as a licensed physician, and being a Francophone newcomer looking to immigrate to the province will also be considered along with the minimum score.

The total of Alberta’s 2026 nomination allocation is 6,403, and as of February 5, 2026, with 405 nominations issued, 5,964 spots are still available.
