The Kerala government has invited applications for the Unnathi Overseas Scholarship Scheme 2026–2027. The scholarship is for students belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) communities. It is to support their higher education abroad. The scholarship is an initiative of the government to improve the global educational opportunities and academic exposure for students from marginalized backgrounds.
Eligible students can apply for the scholarship online until March 31, 2026. The applications are to be submitted through the online portal of the Overseas Development and Employment Promotion Consultants (ODEPC) or through the websites of the state government’s SC/ST development departments.
Students who have secured admission, or are planning to obtain admission, to recognized foreign universities for postgraduate or doctoral programs can apply for the scholarship. The scheme covers the main financial expenses incurred for overseas education such as the tuition fees, travel costs, living expenses, and other study-related expenditures.
