Ontario Conducts Major OINP Draw in March 2026

Ontario through its Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) conducted five new draws on 25th March 2026. The draws issued 1,112 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to candidates across multiple regional streams.

The draws were region-specific and the candidates were selected across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Southwestern Ontario, Central Ontario, Eastern Ontario, and Northern Ontario. Among the different regions, the Greater Toronto Area received the highest number of invitations, with 431 invitations sent for Canada PR. Southwestern Ontario followed with 251 invitations; Central Ontario (excluding the GTA) received 199, Eastern Ontario received 174 invitations, and Northern Ontario received 57 invitations.

In these recent draws the candidates were selected through the streams of Foreign Worker, International Student, and In-Demand Skills. The minimum score requirements were different for different regions and the streams, reflecting the varying labour market needs and priorities of each area in Ontario.

This round follows a previous OINP draw held on March 18, 2026, where 1,243 candidates were invited. Together the draws indicate how Ontario is strategically implementing an immigration approach by selecting candidates who support the long-term economic development across the province.
