Skilled Trade Workers Now Get Priority in Express Entry: Find Out If You Qualify for PR in 2025

If you are working in a skilled trade and want to settle in Canada, there is some good news for you! Starting February 27, 2025, Canada has made significant changes to the Express Entry system, giving skilled trade professionals a stronger shot at getting an Invitation to Apply (ITA).

What’s New for Trade Workers in 2025?

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has introduced important updates to the Trade Occupations Category within the Express Entry system. The purpose of these modifications is to increase accessibility and promote inclusivity in the process. Now, skilled workers from a wider range of trade occupations are eligible to apply for Canadian permanent residency. This expansion creates more opportunities for many applicants seeking to build their careers in Canada.
